HIGH-TECH JOINERY AT X-CAM®
Our Hundegger K2-Industry 1300.
The joinery machine for complex timber components. Large cross-sections, long components, complex geometries and high precision are all part of our day-to-day work.

Your project. Our commitment.
On time.
Precise work planning and end-to-end digital processes ensure that your components are ready on time.
Precise.
Components that fit first time. No need for re-measuring, no reworking, no time wasted on site.
Stress-free.
From order placement to delivery, our processes are structured and transparent. You’ll always know the status of your project.

Built for demanding timber construction projects.
The K2-Industry 1300 is used where standard solutions reach their limits. Large components, complex machining operations, precise processes.
In our configuration, we machine components up to:
– 1.300 mm wide
– 450 mm high
– 32 m long
One machine, many possibilities.
One machine, many possibilities.
The strength of our joinery machine lies not only in its size, but also in its equipment. Specialised units enable cost-effective and precise machining, even for highly complex components.

Our K2-Industry 1300 is equipped with:
Particularly suitable for projects involving a high level of detail and complex connection details.

Horizontal saw (Ø 900 mm)
For clean slots at high throughput

360° swivelling deep-hole drilling rig
For burr-free drilling up to 650 mm from all sides

6-axis robotic assembly unit
With an automatic tool changer. Enables machining from all directions and angles.

Speciality carbide tools
For efficient processing of BauBuche documents.

Inkjet printer
Labels components directly during the joinery process to ensure maximum clarity right there on the work floor.

OUR CHOICE OF HUNDEGGER
Why we chose K2-Industry.
As the production facility for X-Wood® timber halls, it was clear from the outset that a standard solution would not suffice. We need a machine that can carry out complex machining operations quickly, precisely and reliably. Day in, day out, component by component.
In a direct comparison with other manufacturers, K2-Industry delivered by far the best results when testing complex components. The decision was then made quickly: if we want to meet our requirements to the standard we have set ourselves, there is no alternative to Hundegger.

The start. Straight in at the deep end.
It took just under three weeks to erect. We weren’t able to test it for very long afterwards. Our first project was a timber hall using over 100 m³ of glued laminated timber and 20-metre-long truss girders. The installation date was set, with X-Wood® quality a given.
A new machine, a new operating system with Cambium, and tight deadlines. With a lot of hard work, dedication and a steep learning curve, we managed it. Looking back, it was exactly the right way to get started: not in theory, but straight away in real-world conditions.

A partnership of equals.
We are certainly not the easiest customer. Our standards are high, our components are complex, and we pay very close attention to detail. Any weaknesses quickly become apparent to us.
We presented Hundegger with a comprehensive report detailing errors, observations and suggestions for improvement. We worked through each point in detail together until a solution was found. Solutions were developed for almost all the challenges. That is precisely what impressed us: their willingness to listen, to delve deeply into the technical aspects and to improve together.
With such a motivated and competent partner, it’s a pleasure to tackle demanding challenges.

Today: well-established processes, close collaboration.
K2-Industry is now an integral and reliable part of our production process. We rarely stick to standard procedures. This constantly gives rise to new requirements and new ideas. That is why we remain in close contact with Hundegger.
Together, we test new tools and machining strategies under real-world conditions. Hundegger gains practical knowledge. We stay abreast of the latest developments. It is a collaboration from which both sides benefit.
“With the K2-Industry, we’ve chosen a machine that is powerful, precise and versatile. But what matters even more to me is what lies behind it: a partner with whom we can openly discuss challenges and develop solutions together. That’s why Hundegger was the right choice for us.”

DIGITAL PROCESS. PRECISE RESULTS.
For us, high-tech joinery means: digital data, precise machining, clear processes.
The K2-Industry 1300 really comes into its own when used in conjunction with our digital workflow. Machine data is imported in BVX format, read into Cambium, checked and optimised. The result is an end-to-end process chain, from work preparation right through to the finished component.
For our customers, this means: dimensionally accurate components and greater certainty throughout the project.
Particularly strong in timber engineering.
Large components, complex geometries, high precision. This is precisely where our K2-Industry 1300 really comes into its own:
Large glulam beams and trusses
Industrial building structures and specialised components
Wooden bridges and intricate connection details
Sophisticated components for timber engineering

What this means for your project.
We invest in this technology for one reason alone: to make your project run more smoothly. For you, this means:
High dimensional accuracy
Reliable machining, even of complex components
Cost-effective manufacturing
Fewer sources of error
Clear component labelling
Smooth processes in assembly and logistics

Straight from the joinery machine to the building site.
The K2-Industry 1300 is designed for components that combine specific dimensions, machining depth and precision. These are the components we manufacture for you:
Große Leimbinder
Truss
The hall structure
Sonderbauteile
Wooden bridges
